Mrs. Michelle Andrews



Michelle began teaching at CBA in 2008, after graduating from Northland International University with a B.S in Mathematics Education. She attended CBA from K-5 - 12th grade, and had wanted the opportunity to teach at Calvary since she was in early elementary school. She currently teaches math, science, study skills, and computer classes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, who she married in June of 2010.

Mrs. Vivian Court


Señora Court has been teaching Spanish at CBA since 2006. She learned to speak Spanish at home in her native country of Cuba. After she moved to the USA, she earned a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Business Administration from Florida International University.

Mrs. Court has two children, teaches in Junior Church, is involved in AWANA Cubbies, and works with her husband's accounting practice. She loves teaching, children, gardening, and hot weather.

 

 


 

Pastor Mark Dickerson



Pastor Mark Daniel Dickerson, Jr. grew up at Calvary Baptist Church and upon graduation from Calvary Baptist Academy, he and his wife, Danelle, both graduated from Bob Jones University. In 1995, Pastor Mark Dickerson and Danelle moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Pastor Mark spent three years as a Youth Pastor at Victory Baptist Church. In 1999, Pastor Mark and Danelle moved back to Midland and joined the staff as Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. Isaiah 40:31 is his favorite verse, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Like most youth pastors, Pastor Mark enjoys virtually all sports! Pastor Mark graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in Bible in 1996. He and Danelle have three sons, Mark Daniel Dickerson III, Matthew, Caleb, and one daughter Kaitlin.


 

Mr. Dan Forbes



Dan began teaching at CBA in 1980, after having taught six years in Elkhart, Indiana. His professional degree is a B.S. in History Education with a minor in Sociology and a Master of Arts degree in History. Dan teaches History and Bible, and is the assistant principal for the high school. He is interested in reading history, doing woodworking, and eating pies. He is the chairman of Calvary Baptist Church's Missionary Committee. He and his wife, Cheryl who teaches 2nd grade, have two children: Jenny (Michael) Muth and Nathan (Lissa) and 3 grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Hillebrand


Mary is originally from the Ann Arbor area. She received a B.S. in Chemistry from Northern Michigan University, and a Master's of Arts in Teaching Science Education from the University of Texas at Dallas. Most recently, Mary received the "highly qualified" status and teacher certification from the State of Michigan. Mary and her husband, David, accepted Christ in 1992 and have lived in both Chicago and Dallas so that her husband could pursue a Bible education. Mary has been teaching in Christian education since 1994 and at CBA beginning in 2006. Mary and David have two children, Jessica who is married and selling real estate in Dallas, Texas and Lydia who attends Calvary Baptist Academy. Mary is the sponsor for the 8th grade and the High School Honor Society as well as the assistant coach of JV Volleyball. She also coaches swimming with the Midland Dolphin and Barracuda Swim Team.

Mr. Jeff VanDenBerg



Jeff has been on staff at CBA since September of 2007.  He has a B.S. and Masters degrees in Music Education from Bob Jones University.  Before coming to CBA to direct the bands, Jeff taught for three years in Fairfax, VA and six years in Longmont, CO.  In addition to overseeing the music programs in both the church and school, Jeff directs the Elementary, JH and SH bands and the JH and SH choirs and ensembles.  He and his wife Holley have three children, Emma, Peter, and Liddy.

 

 


 

Mr. John VanHolstyn (Coach V)


John has worked at CBA since 1984, he brought with him four years of previous teaching experience from the west coast of Michigan. John has a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Education. He is the Athletic Director and the Varsity Boys Soccer and Basketball coach. He teaches Bible, History, Math, and PE. He is an avid sportsman. He also enjoys working the pit crew for Steve Hilliker's stock car. He is often used to teach as a substitute for various CBC Sunday school classes. He has been married to Roberta for 26 years, and they have five children: Katie, Cheryl, Julie, John, and Ben.

 


 

Pastor David Warren



Pastor David has been on staff at CBC since September of 2003. He has a B.A. in Youth Ministries and a M.A. in Counseling. At CBC he is the Discipleship Pastor which involves counseling, mobilization, Christian education ministries, adult ministries, financial and office management and the drama ministry. Pastor David is also the Life Builders Sunday School teacher and works with the Junior High. Pastor David was ordained at CBC in 1998. From 1997 to 1999 he was the Youth Pastor at Temple Heights Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida and from 1999 to 2002 he was a family counselor at Boysville of Michigan. Pastor David is an avid fan of the University of Michigan and enjoys golf and computers.  David and his wife, Maria have 3 children; twins, Brendan and Kirsten as well as Carson.
