Boys' Varsity Soccer Game Recaps Season Record Team Roster

 

GAME RECAPS

First Win In -
CARSON CITY -- Terry Kubczak scored two goals in Calvary Baptist Academy's 4-1 nonleague soccer win over Fellowship Baptist Academy on Thursday.

Both of Kubczak's scores were unassisted in the first half as CBA built a 2-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, John McCormick scored on an assist from David Hunt to give the Kings a 3-0 edge.

Fellowship Baptist made it 3-1 on a goal by Jacob McAlvery.

Tyler Davenport then scored to put CBA up 4-1, with McCormick getting the assist.

"It was nice to see the guys gel and come together tonight," said CBA coach John VanHolstyn. "We don't have a lot of pieces, but I was very pleased with the guys' efforts."

Davenport and Issac Coats split time in goal for the Kings.

CBA (1-2) travels to Vassar for its conference opener against Juniata Christian next Friday.
